One-on-one instruction focusing on your questions or what problems you are having. Are you trying to shoot a pistol faster or more accurately? Are you trying to practice concealed carry techniques and skills? Are you working on speeding up target acquisitions with your rifle? We will establish goals, practice on and off the range, and work towards meeting the metrics we established earlier.

This class covers the components of a pistol (revolver and modern semi-automatics) and how to properly and safely manipulate them. You will also learn what components make up a pistol cartridge, the differences between pistol cartridges, markings that indicate increased velocity and pressure, and the firing sequence for how the cartridge fires the bullet out of a pistol. Before going onto the range we will discuss the fundamentals of marksmanship and how to properly grip, aim, and fire a pistol. Finally, we will go onto the range to fire a series of pistols so you can gain experience and confidence going from smaller handguns to larger handguns. Finally, we will come back to the classroom to learn how to disassemble and maintain firearms, as well as discuss how to safely store ammunition and firearms including the Colorado specific laws that govern safe storage.

This class focuses on building the basics for defensive shooting. This is a shooting focused course where the majority of the time will be spent on the range shooting drills. After reviewing the basics, we will go through grip diagnostics where the instructor will evaluate your grip and trigger pull individually before beginning live fire. On the range, we will start with an evaluation of fundamentals and how the fundamentals maintain or degrade with live fire. Following this, we will teach dealing with malfunctions (immediate and remedial) as well as reloads (speed and retention) and then conduct drills on all of the following. Lastly, we will begin our draw progression starting at compressed ready and concluding with drawing from concealment.
